Background

Water scarcity, pollution, and inadequate sanitation are pressing global challenges that threaten public health, environmental sustainability, and economic development. Despite the efforts to address these issues many communities continue to face water related crises. The WASH sector has an important role when it comes to addressing these challenges but innovation in the water industry has been slow and it is often hindered by traditional practices and limited resources. In response to these challenges a new generation of young entrepreneurs is stepping up to drive change and revolutionize the water sector.

In this webinar we will showcase the innovative efforts of young WASH entrepreneurs and highlight the transformative potential of youthled innovation in water. The webinar will feature a discussion with two esteemed young WASH entrepreneurs who have successfully built startups in the water sector. These young entrepreneurs will share their personal journeys, including the challenges they faced, the solutions they implemented and the impact they have achieved. The discussion will also delve into practical aspects of building a startup such as securing funding, developing partnerships, and scaling operations. We will get to hear personal recommendations in building and maintaining a startup from their own unique experiences as young entrepreneurs.

With this session we aim to inspire other young people to take on new challenges and guide them into making their innovative water ideas a reality.
