This Course (view Prospectus) aims to improve and enhance the understanding of water utility financing. It draws attention to the fundamental actions that water utilities and governments need to take to enhance creditworthiness. It also helps to identify the different types of government’s financial support to utilities.
The Course further explains the importance of tariffs and non-revenue water (NRW) to creditworthiness. It explains the role of investment planning and financial analysis in determining creditworthiness. It also discusses the steps involved in approaching commercial financiers, the types of credit enhancement tools, and the importance of utility creditworthiness.
