An increasing number of water institutions across the world are recognizing the importance of a gender-diverse workforce given the benefits it brings to institutions, the improved engagement with female stakeholders, and the need to empower women for economic growth and progress for all. Water institutions have been implementing policies and detailed roadmaps to keep inclusion a priority. Perhaps not all well-intentioned interventions lead to the intended outcomes of improved participation of women in the water sector.

This year’s Forum will set the stage for discussion on policies that were adopted by our partners and others in the sector to enhance gender diversity and leadership in water sector jobs and is centered around reflecting on the most effective strategies adopted for creating more inclusive water institutions.

The Forum will be held in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
